Being a parent is an incredible gift but, sometimes it’s not easy. There will be obstacles and challenges along the way, leaving us feeling defeated and hopeless at times. Here at APA, we understand these challenges and we seek to provide parents the support they need. Our programs for parents and caregivers help relieve some of the isolation that many immigrant families often feel when they arrive in America. The lack of support from extended family and friends can also be a great challenge when there is no one to confide in and express your feelings.
At the Parent Support Services program, we provide a variety of center-based activities for families and children to learn and grow, ranging from parent-child activities, parenting classes, and support groups. In addition, we serve families going through rough times in our home-based Family Advocacy case management program.
All of our activities are free of charge and child watch is provided during parent groups. We welcome all parents and caregivers to attend, please feel free to contact us for more information and to sign up for activities that interest you. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
