September / October 2018 Newsletter
Superheroes Class The Superheroes Class trains parents and children together, in ten sessions, on how to use their superhero powers and feel safe. This is a parent/child skills-building group for children aged 5 and 7. The group learn the skills to identify and communicate feelings to a trusted adult; develop healthy coping and self-regulation skills; build self-esteem; learn how to work in a team; and build healthy communication skills. Graduation day is celebrated with a cake and snacks. Our young superheroes receive a diploma and a special red cape to remind them they acquired the skills to be a superhero! Congratulations to the class of Summer 2018 pictured below. |
