Behavioral Health

Many of the children, youth, adults and families we work with have experienced grief, loss, trauma, life transitions, divorce, domestic, immigration and community violence.
  • As a result of the difficulties faced, our clients typically struggle with depression, anxiety, anger, insomnia or difficulty coping with daily activities such as work or school.
  • Some experience challenges in their relationships or use counterproductive methods to manage the stress such as substance use or self harm.

Our goal is to promote and maintain a safe and happy home environment for our families. We aim to help children, youth, individuals and families by nurturing growth, empowerment, and resilience through individual and family therapy.
  • We specifically offer therapeutic support to strengthen caring relationships and increase emotional/behavioral well-being.
  • We use evidence based therapeutic interventions as it fits within the individual’s and family’s cultural context.

Besides on site therapeutic services, API HOTLINE (415) 642-6850 is another resource to parents and youth in times of stress and crisis.
  • Trained hotline volunteers can provide help in Cambodian, Cantonese, Laotian, Mandarin, Samoan, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

If you would like to find out more about our traineeship program, please click here.
During COVID-19 stay-at-home order in the city and county of San Francisco, our services are provided virtually.
