A wonderful Book Share Talk, "Masked Hero: How Wu Lien-teh Invented the Mask That Ended an Epidemic"

Thank you to all the wonderful participants who joined us for a successful Book Share Talk, "Masked Hero: How Wu Lien-teh Invented the Mask That Ended an Epidemic," presented in collaboration with All American Medical Group (AAMG).

Participants had a wonderful time immersing themselves in the inspiring stories shared by Dr. Shan Woo Liu and Kaili Gormley, as they unveiled the extraordinary story of Dr. Wu's invention of N95 mask during the 1918 influenza pandemic. During the talk, participants enjoyed engaging with the mother and daughter co-authors, both descendants of Dr. Wu, who traced the course of Dr. Wu's career and his contributions to public health.

The book share talk provided an opportunity to let children know hero comes in all sizes, ages and races. Together, we are spreading the joy of reading and supporting our community.
