Our Executive Director Joins Budget Rally for Safe Communities and Vibrant Neighborhoods

Our Executive Director, Fanny Lam, today (May 8) participated in the impactful Budget Rally focused on advocating for safe communities and vibrant neighborhoods.

APAFSS operates three Family Resource Centers (FRCs) that serve the Chinatown community, API immigrants, and the Visitacion Valley Strong Families. The proposed cuts to FRC funds have significant implications for the vital support and services we provide to these populations.

As part of the Family Services Alliance coalition, we united to highlight the importance of restoring the $1.8M in Enhancement Grants for FRCs that were at risk of being cut by Department of Early Childhood. Together, we demonstrated our collective strength and commitment to empowering our communities.
