We celebrated our community moms, those who recently gave birth and those expecting, with love, gifts, and connection.
A new resource for our Excelsior neighbors: a free food fridge is here!
We are thrilled to share that a new free food fridge has arrived at our Excelsior Family Resource Center at 4377 Mission. Huge thanks to a community partner for donating a commercial refrigerator and to ExtraFood for keeping it stocked with fresh, rescued surplus food.
Saying goodbye to Miss Daisy — and passing her legacy forward.
For nearly 19 years, a little bus named Miss Daisy rolled through San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood — taking seniors to the grocery store, carrying residents to field trips, and becoming one of the most recognized vehicles in the community.

AAPI Family Wonderfest Celebrated the Week of the Young Child
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the AAPI Family Wonderfest! We had a wonderful time celebrating the Week of the Young Child with arts & crafts, face painting, music, dance, and cultural performances, and so many joyful community moments.
From a family van to a full-size truck — our food recovery work just leveled up.
APAFSS is proud to announce our new collaboration with Food Connect!
It started scrappy: our staff and their families volunteering their own vehicles to recover cosmetically imperfect — but completely edible — produce from SF Market, keeping good food out of landfills and onto the tables of families in need.
