APA’s mission is to promote healthy children and families by providing family support services to prevent child abuse and domestic violence. APA also advocates for culturally competent services for Asians and Pacific Islanders through education, community building and leadership development. APA is proud to offer in-home visits in order to provide the most effective family support services. When our founder started Asian Perinatal Advocates at San Francisco General Hospital, his goal was to provide services for Asian immigrant mothers. Many of our clients and friends in the community continue to remember us as APA. Today, our services are made available to families of all ethnicities and we have expanded the range of family support services we provide. We keep the acronym, APA, as part of our name to remind us of our humble beginnings. |
