APAFSS Excelsior Family Resource Center Grand Opening
On October 19, 2025, APA Family Support Services just opened its permanent Excelsior Resource Center at 4377 Mission St.—a 5,000+ sq. ft. landmark hub! Excelsior (District 11) now tops SF with 56% Asian residents. APAFSS now serves more communities with parenting workshops, diaper banks, domestic violence prevention, and more in 8 languages. It's also the heart of APIFRN (Asian and Pacific Islander Family Resources Network), uniting 20+ agencies for kids 0-18.

APAFSS Visitacion Valley Sunnydale Office Grand Opening
Grand Opening Celebration - March 15, 2025
After over a decade of dedicated service to the Sunnydale and Visitacion Valley communities, we have proudly expanded into our very own space at The Village health and wellness center, 1099 Sunnydale Ave. Our new facility features dedicated therapy rooms, a culturally appropriate food distribution program, and a family resource center activities office—creating more room to support local families. The event had a wonderful turnout from the community! Families enjoyed a vibrant lion dance performance and impressive Karate and dance performance by the Samoan Community Development Center. Our amazing volunteers hosted fun games for kids and families, making it a day to remember! We were also delighted to have a free book distribution from the San Francisco Public Library and a resource table shared by the San Francisco DA’s Office, providing valuable information and support to our community. Together, we are building a stronger community!

Chinatown came alive with vibrant cultural celebrations, joy, and laughter as we marked 38 incredible years of service at APA Family Support Services! Families, friends, and community members gathered to enjoy traditional cultural performances, live entertainment, and fun-filled game booths that brought smiles to all ages. During the celebration, we were proud to honor two of our long-serving APAFSS staff members, Soukchai Ly and Pauline Lo, with special awards for their dedication and service to our community for 30 and 28 years respectively. These individuals exemplify the heart and hard work that make APAFSS what it is today.
