APAFSS is proud to announce our new collaboration with Food Connect!

It started scrappy: our staff and their families volunteering their own vehicles to recover cosmetically imperfect — but completely edible — produce from SF Market, keeping good food out of landfills and onto the tables of families in need.

Thanks to Food Connect, families at our new Excelsior center now benefit from:

Larger trucks to nearly double the food we recover

Reliable logistics for pickup and drop-off

More culturally appropriate food that reflects the communities we serve
