Growing Our Impact: Internship Program Expands to Serve More Families

11/10/2025

We have been providing bilingual counseling for more than two decades. To address the growing need for culturally responsive behavioral health services among Bay Area children, youth, and families with limited resources, we launched an internship program in 2017 in partnership with local colleges. Starting with just three interns, the program has grown to collaborate with nine universities. To date, we have trained more than 60 emerging clinicians, with seven currently under the expert supervision of Dr. Sarah Jimenez, Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor. These dedicated interns allow us to serve more diverse communities while cultivating the next generation of compassionate, language-concordant providers.
