Mi Casa Su Casa: Hispanic Heritage Night

9/25/2025

Visitacion Valley Strong Families (VVSF) proudly hosted Mi Casa Su Casa (Hispanic Heritage Night) — an evening dedicated to celebrating culture, community, and connection. The event opened VVSF’s doors to community-based organizations (CBOs), clients, and residents of the Visitacion Valley neighborhood, creating a vibrant space filled with resources, laughter, and cultural pride.

A total of seven partner organizations joined us to showcase the incredible services and programs they offer to local families. Throughout the night, attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with these organizations, learn about valuable resources, and build meaningful connections within their community.

Children enjoyed two engaging activities—from arts and crafts to interactive games—earning prizes and special gifts from VVSF for their participation. Meanwhile, parents and community members socialized with VVSF staff and CBO representatives, strengthening bonds and sharing stories that reflect the heart of Visitacion Valley.

The celebration concluded with a beautiful Mexican folk dance performance, honoring Hispanic heritage through traditional music, color, and movement.

Overall, Mi Casa Su Casa served as a joyful reminder of the importance of culture, unity, and community collaboration. VVSF extends its deepest gratitude to all participating organizations, families, and staff who made the night a success.
